Are you tired of playing the same old games every game night? Spice things up with Qwixx - the fast and fun game that will keep you and your friends entertained for hours!
Qwixx Score Sheets
Before diving into the game, make sure to grab some score sheets to keep track of everyone’s points. You can easily print them out from this link or find more options like the Mixed Scoresheets and a Printable Word Search version.
How to Play
The objective of Qwixx is simple - cross out as many numbers as possible on your score sheet to score points.
There are two types of rows on your score sheet - one with numbers ranging from 2 to 12 in ascending order and the other with numbers ranging from 12 to 2 in descending order. 4 different colored dice will be rolled each turn - a white die and a red, blue, and yellow die. The white die is used to determine which row to cross out numbers in while the colored dice determine the actual numbers you can cross out on that row. For example, if the white die lands on the first row, and the red and blue dice show a 3 and 5, then you can cross out both the 3 and 5 on the first row.
But be careful - once a number is crossed out, it can’t be uncrossed. The game ends when two of the color rows have been completely crossed out, and whoever has the most points wins!
Qwixx Mixx
Looking for an extra challenge? Try the Qwixx Mixx version, which adds two new rows to the game - one with numbers in ascending order from 2 to 7 and the other with numbers in descending order from 12 to 7. It also includes a wild die that can be any color of your choosing. This version gives you even more options for crossing out numbers and racking up points.
Strategy
While Qwixx may seem like a game of pure luck, there are some strategic moves you can make to increase your chances of winning:
- Focus on one row - rather than spreading out your crosses across all four rows, try focusing on one row to cross out completely. This will give you bonus points and put you one step closer to ending the game.
- Don’t forget about the wild die - the wild die can be any color, so save it for when you really need it, such as crossing out a number you need for a completed row or ending the game.
- Be aware of what numbers are left - keep track of what numbers have already been crossed out so you know what numbers are still available to cross out on each turn.
- Block your opponents - if you see that your opponent is close to completing a row, try to block them by crossing out numbers they need or choosing a different row for the white die.
