First and foremost, it’s important to keep your hands clean and avoid touching your new piercing as much as possible. Try to avoid sleeping on the piercing and keep it dry, avoiding any excess moisture from pools, hot tubs, or baths. In addition, avoid direct sunlight and apply sunscreen over the pierced area if necessary.
If you experience any inflammation or discharge from the piercing, don’t panic. These symptoms are normal and can be treated with a saline solution or a warm compress. Avoid using alcohol, hydrogen peroxide, or any other harsh cleaning products as it can irritate the new piercing.
Tattoo Aftercare
After getting a tattoo, it’s essential to properly clean the area to avoid any infection. Remove the bandage within 3-4 hours of getting the tattoo and wash it gently with soap and warm water. Pat it dry with a clean towel and apply a thin layer of ointment or moisturizer.
