Printable Sangria Recipe

Hey there, friends! It’s that time of year again - time for refreshing and oh-so delicious cocktails! One of my all-time favorites is sangria, and I have the best recipe to share with you all today. Whether you’re hosting a party or just lounging by the pool, this drink is sure to be a hit.

Ingredients:

Picture of SangriaThe first thing you’ll need is a bottle of your favorite red wine. I like to use a Spanish Rioja, but any bold and fruity red wine will do. You’ll also need a cup of citrusy brandy, a cup of freshly squeezed orange juice, a cup of club soda, and half a cup of sugar. For added flavor and color, grab some sliced fruit - I recommend apples, oranges, and strawberries.

Instructions:

Start by slicing up the fruit and adding it to a large pitcher. Then add the sugar and stir until the fruit is coated. Let this mixture sit for about 10 minutes to let the fruit release its juices. While you wait, grab a separate bowl and mix the red wine, brandy, and orange juice together.

Once the fruit has released its juices, pour the wine mixture into the pitcher and give everything a good stir. Chill the pitcher in the fridge for at least an hour before serving. Just before serving, add the club soda to give the drink some bubbles.

And there you have it - the perfect sangria recipe for any occasion! This drink is best enjoyed with good company and some outdoor fun. Don’t forget to serve it with plenty of ice and garnish with some fresh fruit. Cheers to warm weather and delicious drinks!

Variations:

If you’re feeling adventurous, there are plenty of ways to switch up this recipe to make it your own. Here are a few ideas to get you started:

White Sangria

Switch out the red wine for a crisp white wine like a Sauvignon Blanc or Pinot Grigio, and use white grape juice instead of orange juice. Swap out the apples and strawberries for peaches and raspberries.

Tropical Sangria

Use a fruity red wine like a Merlot or Zinfandel, and add in some coconut water and pineapple juice. Use sliced pineapple, mango, and kiwi for the fruit.

Margarita Sangria

Add some Tequila and triple sec to the wine mixture, and switch out the fruit for lime and strawberries. Rim your glass with salt and enjoy!

There you have it, friends. Three delicious ways to switch up your sangria and make it your own. I hope you give this recipe a try and let me know what you think. Cheers to summertime and delicious drinks!
