Hey there! Do you love playing poker? Are you a beginner or a pro? Regardless of your experience level, one of the most important things to know when playing poker is the different hands and their rankings. The Royal Flush

Royal Flush Poker HandThe royal flush is the highest-ranking poker hand possible. It consists of the Ace, King, Queen, Jack, and Ten of the same suit. This means that all cards must be of either Clubs, Diamonds, Hearts, or Spades. If you get a royal flush, you’re guaranteed to win the hand!

Straight Flush

Straight Flush Poker HandThe straight flush is the second highest-ranking poker hand. It consists of any five consecutive cards of the same suit. For example, if you have the 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 of Hearts, you have a straight flush. If multiple players have a straight flush, the player with the highest-ranking card wins.

Four of a Kind

Four of a Kind Poker HandA four of a kind hand consists of four cards of the same rank and one other card, also known as the kicker. For example, four Kings and a three of Hearts gives you a four of a kind hand. If multiple players have a four of a kind hand, the player with the highest ranked cards wins.

Full House

Full House Poker HandA full house hand consists of three cards of the same rank and two other cards of another rank. For example, if you have three Aces and two Twos, you have a full house hand. If multiple players have a full house hand, the player with the highest ranking three of a kind wins.

Flush

Flush Poker HandA flush hand consists of any five cards of the same suit. If multiple players have a flush hand, the player with the highest-ranking card wins.

Straight

Straight Poker HandA straight hand consists of any five consecutive cards of any suit. If multiple players have a straight hand, the player with the highest-ranking card wins.

Three of a Kind

Three of a Kind Poker HandA three of a kind hand consists of three cards of the same rank and two other cards, which can be any rank. For example, if you have three Jacks and two other cards, you have a three of a kind hand. If multiple players have a three of a kind hand, the player with the highest ranking three of a kind wins.

Two Pair

Two Pair Poker HandA two pair hand consists of two cards of one rank, two cards of another rank, and one other card. For example, if you have two Kings, two Threes, and a Six, you have a two pair hand. If multiple players have a two pair hand, the player with the highest pair wins.

Pair

Pair Poker HandA pair hand consists of two cards of the same rank and three other random cards. If multiple players have a pair hand, the player with the highest ranking pair wins.

High Card

High Card Poker Hand If you don’t have any of the above hands, then you have a high card hand. This consists of five random cards that do not form any of the above combinations. If multiple players have a high card hand, the player with the highest-ranking card wins.
