Printable Poker Hand Rankings

Yo, what’s good everybody? I’m here to school y’all on the poker game, and specifically the rankings of hands and their nicknames. So let’s dive right in.

Royal Flush

Royal FlushFirst up is the legendary Royal Flush. This is the ultimate hand, and only a fool would try to beat it. You gotta have an Ace, King, Queen, Jack, and 10, all in the same suit. It’s rare, but if you get it, you’re sitting pretty.

Straight Flush

Straight FlushNext, we got the Straight Flush. This is still an amazing hand, but not quite as good as the Royal Flush. You gotta have five cards in a row, all in the same suit. So, for example, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 of hearts. It’s tough to get, but if you do, you’re in a good spot.

Four of a Kind

Four of a KindIf you can’t get a Straight Flush or a Royal Flush, you can still win big with four of a kind. This means you have four cards with the same rank, and one other card as a “kicker.” It’s a strong hand, but not quite unbeatable.

Full House

Full HouseAnother solid hand is the Full House. This means you have three cards with the same rank, and two other cards with a different rank but the same as each other. For example, three Queens and two 9’s. It’s a good hand, but can still be beaten by higher hands.

Flush

FlushThe Flush is when you have five cards, all in the same suit, but not in a row. It’s a decent hand, but not quite as strong as some of the others on this list.

Straight

StraightThe Straight is when you have five cards in a row, but not in the same suit. It’s a good hand, but can be beaten by higher hands.

Three of a Kind

Three of a KindThe Three of a Kind is just what it sounds like - you have three cards of the same rank, and two other cards as kickers. It’s not as strong as Four of a Kind, but still a decent hand.

Two Pair

Two PairThe Two Pair is when you have…you guessed it…two pairs of cards with the same rank, and one other card as a kicker. It’s not the strongest hand, but can still win if the right cards come out.

One Pair

One PairFinally, we have the One Pair. This is when you have two cards with the same rank, and three other cards as kickers. It’s not a great hand, but can win in certain situations.

Alright y’all, that’s the lowdown on poker hand rankings and nicknames. Remember, the stronger your hand, the more likely you are to win big. Good luck out there!
