Hey everyone! Are you looking for a fun DIY project that will add a pop of color to your home? Look no further than these Paper Pinwheels, which I found on the Oh So Lovely Blog. And the best part? We’ve got free printables to help you make them! To start, gather your supplies. You’ll need paper (cardstock works best), scissors, a ruler, a pencil, a glue stick, a small brad or button, and of course, the free printables, which you can find at the link provided in our data. Once you have your supplies, print out the templates for the pinwheels. Each sheet has two templates on it, so you can print as many as you need. Then, cut out the templates and trace them onto your cardstock. Next, cut out the pinwheel shapes, making sure to cut along the solid lines and leaving the dotted lines intact. You should end up with a square shape with four triangles on each side. Using your ruler, make a small mark at the center of each triangle on one side of the square. Then, use your scissors to cut from each corner of the square to the center mark, being careful not to cut all the way through. Repeat this process for each triangle on that side of the square. Now it’s time to start folding your pinwheel. Take one corner of each triangle and fold it towards the center of the square, making sure to keep it aligned with the center mark. Use your glue stick to secure the folded corners in place. Once all of the corners on one side of the pinwheel are folded and glued, repeat the process on the other side of the square. Again, make sure to fold each corner towards the center mark and secure it with glue. With all of the corners folded, the pinwheel should be able to spin around the center. To hold it in place, use your small brad or button to attach the pinwheel to a wooden stick or dowel. Now that you’ve made your pinwheels, you can use them to add a fun and colorful touch to your home. You can create a pinwheel bouquet by sticking several pinwheels into a vase, or hang them from a ceiling or a tree branch for an outdoor party. The possibilities are endless! So what are you waiting for? Head over to the Oh So Lovely Blog to get your free printables and start making your own Paper Pinwheels today. We can’t wait to see what you come up with!
