Welcome back to our homeschooling journey! Today we’re going to focus on third-grade math and I have some wonderful resources to help your child practice their rounding and multiplication skills.
Worksheet One: Multiplication Practice
For this first worksheet, we’re going to focus on multiplication. Multiplication is an essential skill that your child will use throughout their life, so it’s important to make sure they have a good grasp of it by the end of third grade. This worksheet is perfect for some extra practice and features a variety of multiplication problems that your child can work through.
Worksheet Two: Rounding Practice
The second worksheet we’re going to focus on is rounding. Rounding is another valuable skill that your child will use throughout their life, and it’s important to make sure they have a good understanding of it by the end of third grade. This worksheet features a variety of rounding problems that your child can work through, with clear instructions for each problem.
Online Game: Multiplication Facts
To add some fun to your child’s math practice, there are a ton of online games available that can help reinforce their skills. This game is focused on multiplication facts and allows your child to race against the clock to solve as many problems as possible. Not only is it fun, but it’s a great way to help your child build accuracy and speed in their multiplication.
Manipulatives: Plastic Coins
Finally, it’s important to allow your child to use hands-on manipulatives to help reinforce the math concepts they’re learning. For multiplication, plastic coins are a versatile tool that can be used in a variety of ways. For example, you could use them to help reinforce the concept of skip counting by having your child count out groups of 5 or 10 coins. Or, they could use the coins as a visual aid to help them solve multiplication problems by grouping them together.
By using the resources above, you can help your child build a strong foundation in multiplication and rounding, setting them up for success in their future math studies.
Thanks for joining me on this journey, and I hope these resources are helpful to you and your child!
