So, I was perusing the interwebs the other day and stumbled upon this hilarious incident report template that I just had to share with all of you. Trust me, it’s a doozy. First of all, have you ever had to fill out an incident report before? It’s usually something you have to do when you’re involved in some kind of accident or mishap, and let me tell you, it’s not the most exciting thing in the world. But this particular incident report template? Oh, it’s a work of art. Let’s break it down, shall we? The first thing you’ll notice is the image that accompanies it. It’s a person with a shocked expression on their face, and honestly, same. If you’re having to fill out an incident report, chances are you’re feeling a little shell-shocked yourself. But let’s move on to the meat of this report: the actual form itself. Now, most incident reports are pretty straightforward. They’ll ask you for the basics like your name, the date and time of the incident, and maybe a brief description of what happened. But this incident report template? Oh boy, it goes above and beyond. For starters, there’s a whole section for describing the weather conditions at the time of the incident. Because, you know, if it’s raining outside and you slip and fall, that’s important information. But it doesn’t stop there. The template also asks if anyone nearby witnessed the incident, and if so, to describe their physical appearance. Um, excuse me? I’m not sure how helpful that is in determining what actually happened, but sure, let’s throw that in there. But the pièce de résistance of this incident report template has got to be the section titled “Unusual Circumstances.” This is where you get to really let your creativity shine. Did a UFO suddenly appear out of nowhere and cause you to lose your balance? Did a pack of wild dogs start chasing you down the street, forcing you to make a hasty retreat? Did a giant squid emerge from the depths of the nearby pond and grab you with its massive tentacles? (Okay, maybe that one’s a little far-fetched, but you get the idea.) Honestly, I think every incident report should have a section like this. It would certainly make filling them out a lot more interesting. And who knows, maybe one day you’ll actually have a legitimate reason to use it. Anyway, I hope you all got a good laugh out of this incident report template. Just remember, if you ever find yourself in a real-life incident, try to resist the urge to make things more interesting than they actually were.
