So now that you have your petal templates, what’s next? Well, you start folding and cutting of course! The process may seem daunting at first, but trust me, it’s super easy once you get the hang of it. I’ll break it down for you. 1. Print out your desired petal template and cut it out. 2. Trace the template onto your desired colored paper (I suggest using cardstock for a sturdier flower). 3. Cut out the traced petal shapes. Be sure to follow the lines carefully to ensure an even and clean cut. 4. Use a scoring tool (or the edge of a ruler) to score down the middle of each petal. This will help give your petals a more realistic shape. 5. Fold each petal in half along the score line. 6. Use a hot glue gun to attach the first petal to a central base (either a circle of paper or a floral wire). 7. Continue attaching petals around the central base, making sure to rotate the petals slightly to create a more natural look. 8. Ta-dah! You have your very own DIY paper flower. Of course, feel free to experiment with different petal patterns, colors, and sizes. There are so many possibilities with these templates! And don’t be afraid to add some extra embellishments, like beads, glitter, or even some green paper leaves. So go ahead, give it a try! You’ll be amazed at how easy and fun it is to make your very own paper flowers. Plus, you’ll impress all your friends with your new DIY skills. Happy crafting!
