So I was browsing the interwebz today, looking for some inspiration for a new pet project, when I stumbled upon a collection of pictures that made me chuckle pretty hard. And since I’m feeling generous, I thought I’d share these funny exit signs with you guys. I mean, who said exit signs are supposed to be boring, amirite?
Exit Sign #1
So this first exit sign is pretty straightforward, but you gotta admit that the “glow-in-the-dark” feature is pretty cool. I can already imagine myself stumbling through a dark hallway, only to be saved by the comforting glow of this sign.
Exit Sign #2
This second exit sign is a bit more abstract, but it gets the point across. The way the arrow is twisted kind of reminds me of one of those old-timey mustaches. I can just imagine a fancy gentleman pointing at this sign and saying, “Ah yes, this way to the emergency exit, my good sir.”
Exit Sign #3
Now this third exit sign is just plain adorable. I love the little cartoon arrow, and the fact that it says “EXIT” in big, friendly letters. It’s like the exit sign is cheering you on as you flee from danger.

This fourth exit sign is a bit of a troll move, but I can’t help but laugh at it. I can imagine some mischievous prankster putting this sign up in a public place, watching people panic as they try to open a door that clearly says “NOT AN EXIT.”
Exit Sign #5
This fifth exit sign is a bit more traditional, but the fact that it comes in four different colors is pretty snazzy. You can match the sign to your decor, or maybe even create a fun game of exit sign scavenger hunt with your friends. The possibilities are endless, really.

Now this sixth exit sign is just plain hilarious. I mean, who thought it was a good idea to put a little running dude on the sign? I can imagine someone looking at this sign and thinking, “Oh yeah, I better run for my life.” It’s like the exit sign is encouraging you to do some cardio.

This seventh exit sign is pretty similar to the third one, but I gotta say, the little arrow with the circles is just so darn cute. It’s like the exit sign is saying, “Hey, you can go this way, or this way! The choice is yours!”
Exit Sign #8
This eighth exit sign is definitely more on the serious side, but I appreciate the fact that it’s labeled as a “fire exit.” It’s like the sign is saying, “Hey, if there’s a fire, you better head for this door, pronto. But if there’s no fire, don’t bother, dude.”

Now this ninth exit sign might be my favorite one. It’s just so ridiculously over-the-top. I mean, look at the size of those letters! Look at the giant red arrow! It’s like the exit sign is yelling at you, “GET OUT NOW OR FACE CERTAIN DOOM!”

And last but not least, we have the tenth exit sign. Now this one is a bit more subdued, but I appreciate the fact that it has both the word “emergency” and the little running dude, just in case you weren’t already convinced that you needed to GTFO. Safety first, people.
So there you have it, folks. Ten exit signs that are sure to make you laugh (or at least chuckle awkwardly). I mean, who said emergency exits couldn’t be fun, right?
