When Someone Touches Your Food
Okay, let’s be real for a second. If someone so much as looks at my food the wrong way, they better be ready to throw down. I mean, that sandwich (or pizza, or burrito, or whatever deliciousness you had your heart set on) was YOURS. No one has the right to touch it without permission!
Bumper-to-Bumper Traffic
Ugh, don’t even get me started on this one. You’re already running late, and the universe decides to throw every single red light and slow driver in your path. Your blood pressure starts rising, your palms get sweaty, and suddenly you’re screaming at the top of your lungs for no apparent reason. It’s a miracle any of us make it to our destinations in one piece.
“Reply All” Emails
We’ve all been there. You innocently open an email, only to be bombarded with dozens of replies that don’t even concern you. Half the time, people are just replying to say “thanks” or “LOL,” as if anyone cares. It’s the digital equivalent of that scene in Office Space where they beat the crap out of the printer. And yet, we keep hitting that “reply all” button…why, oh why do we do it?
Slow Internet
We live in an age where we can stream movies, connect with people all over the world, and get information on pretty much anything at the touch of a button. And yet, somehow, we still have to put up with slow internet. It’s like the universe is trying to test our patience. Every time that loading circle starts spinning, a little piece of us dies inside.
People Who Don’t Use Turn Signals
This one drives me NUTS. You’re trying to merge into another lane, and suddenly some jerk in a giant SUV comes barreling up behind you without any warning. Or worse, you’re waiting to make a turn, and the person in front of you just sits there like a bump on a log, leaving you stuck in the middle of the intersection. Come on, people! Turn signals exist for a reason!
Telemarketers and Robocalls
“Hi, this is Julie from the warranty department…” CLICK. No one wants to deal with telemarketers and robocalls. They always seem to call at the most inconvenient times, and just when you think you’ve blocked their number, they come back with a different one. It’s like playing whack-a-mole, except the moles are annoying sales pitches.
People Who Don’t Cover Their Mouths When They Cough or Sneeze
The past year has made this one even more infuriating. Even before the pandemic, though, it was just plain rude not to cover your mouth when you cough or sneeze. No one wants to breathe in your germs, thanks. And yet, somehow, there are still people out there who think it’s totally fine to just let it all hang out in public. Gross.
