Good day to all my fellow Americans! Today, I wanted to talk about something near and dear to our hearts: our 50 states and their capitals. As we all know, the United States is made up of 50 states, each with its own unique culture, history, and people. And while we may not all have visited every single state, it is important to at least know the name of each state and its capital.
Alabama: Montgomery
Let’s start with the beautiful state of Alabama, home to great southern hospitality and some of the best barbecue in the country. Its capital, Montgomery, is also steeped in history as it played a significant role in the Civil Rights Movement. You can visit historical landmarks like the Rosa Parks Museum or the Dexter Avenue Baptist Church, where Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. preached.
Alaska: Juneau
Next up is the beautiful state of Alaska, known for its stunning natural beauty and vast wilderness. Its capital, Juneau, is the perfect starting point to explore all that Alaska has to offer. You can take a scenic drive along the Seward Highway, hike to the top of Mount Roberts for breathtaking views, or even take a boat tour to see humpback whales up close.
