Hey there fellow Packers fan, have you seen the newly released schedule for the 2021-22 season? Let’s take a closer look at what our beloved Green Bay Packers have in store for us this year.
Week 1: vs. New Orleans Saints
The season opener will be a tough one as we face off against the New Orleans Saints on September 12th. With Drew Brees now retired, it’ll be interesting to see how their team adjusts without their long-time quarterback.
Week 2: vs. Detroit Lions
We then come back home for our first divisional game against the Detroit Lions on September 20th. Hopefully, this will be a nice welcome back to Lambeau Field after a long offseason.
Week 3: at San Francisco 49ers
The following week, we travel to California to take on the San Francisco 49ers on September 26th. This should be a good test for the Packers as the 49ers made it to the Super Bowl just two years ago.
Week 4: vs. Pittsburgh Steelers
October 3rd brings us another tough opponent as we face off against the Pittsburgh Steelers at home. With Mike Tomlin at the helm, the Steelers are always a team to be reckoned with.
Week 5: at Cincinnati Bengals
The following week, we continue our road trip as we travel to Ohio to take on the Cincinnati Bengals on October 10th. The Bengals are a relatively young team, so this should be a winnable game for the Packers.
Week 6: at Chicago Bears
It wouldn’t be a Packers schedule without a game against our division rivals, the Chicago Bears. We head to Soldier Field on October 17th for what should be a highly contested game.
Week 7: vs. Washington Football Team
Our next home game is against the Washington Football Team on October 24th. Washington has been rebuilding over the past few seasons, so this could be an opportunity for the Packers to win.
Week 8: at Arizona Cardinals
Our next away game is against the Arizona Cardinals on Halloween. The Cardinals are another young team with a lot of potential, so this could be a tough game for the Packers.
Week 9: at Kansas City Chiefs
On November 7th, we head to Kansas City to take on the Chiefs in what is sure to be one of the most highly anticipated games of the year. The Chiefs have been a dominant force in the AFC over the past few seasons, so this will be a great test for the Packers.
Week 10: vs. Seattle Seahawks
Our next home game is against the Seattle Seahawks on November 14th. With Russell Wilson at the helm, the Seahawks are always a tough team to beat.
Week 11: at Minnesota Vikings
On November 21st, we head back to our division rivals’ territory as we take on the Minnesota Vikings. The Vikings are always a tough opponent, especially when playing at home, so this could be a difficult game for the Packers.
Week 12: vs. Los Angeles Rams
The following week, we host the Los Angeles Rams at home. With a talented roster and a coach who has been to the Super Bowl, this should be an exciting game to watch.
Week 13: Bye Week
After 12 weeks of football, the Packers get a well-deserved week off to rest and regroup.
Week 14: vs. Chicago Bears
We then play the Bears again, this time at home on December 12th. The Packers will be looking for a win to continue their dominance over their division rivals.
Week 15: at Baltimore Ravens
The following week, we travel to Maryland to take on the Baltimore Ravens on December 19th. With one of the most explosive quarterbacks in the league in Lamar Jackson, the Ravens are always a tough team to beat.
Week 16: vs. Cleveland Browns
On Christmas Day, the Packers play host to the Cleveland Browns in what should be a thrilling game. The Browns made the playoffs last year for the first time in over a decade, so this could be an exciting matchup.
Week 17: vs. Minnesota Vikings
We then round out the regular season with a home game against the Vikings on January 2nd. Depending on how the season has gone, this game could have playoff implications for both teams.
Week 18: at Detroit Lions
Finally, we end the regular season in the Motor City with a game against the Lions on January 9th. Hopefully, the Packers will have already secured their playoff spot by this point and can rest some starters in preparation for the postseason.
Overall, it’s shaping up to be another exciting season for the Green Bay Packers. With plenty of tough opponents, including some from our own division, the Packers will have their work cut out for them. But with Aaron Rodgers still at the helm and a talented roster around him, there’s no reason why they can’t make another deep playoff run.
