Halloween Printable Craft

Halloween is just around the corner and it is time to get spooky! We have found the perfect activity to get your little one in the holiday spirit. This fun bat craft is perfect for kids of all ages and is sure to be a hit.

Step 1: Gather Your Supplies

Build-a-Bat PrintableMake sure you have all the supplies you need before starting this fun Halloween craft. You will need the following:

  • Printable building template
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Black paint or markers
  • A few blank pieces of paper

Step 2: Print the Bat Template

Bat TemplatePrint out the bat template on a blank piece of paper. Cut out the template along the black lines. You may want to cut around the edges of the bat as well to make it easier to glue together later.

Step 3: Decorate Your Bat

Bat PaintNow it is time to add some color to your bat. You can use black markers or paint to color your bat. Don’t forget to color both sides of the bat template. This will ensure that both sides of the bat look identical.

Step 4: Cut Out the Bat Pieces

Bat CuttingUsing your scissors, cut out the bat template along the black lines. Be sure to cut out all the smaller pieces as well as the larger bat shape. You may want to cut around the edges of the bat to make it easier to glue together later.

Step 5: Glue the Bat Pieces Together

Bat GluingNow it is time to glue the bat pieces together. Take the larger bat shape and fold along the dotted lines. Apply glue along all the tabs and then join together to make the bat shape. You may want to hold the pieces together until the glue dries. Once the bat shape is complete, add on the smaller pieces like the ears, wings, and eyes. You can use the image below for reference.

Bat HangingYour bat is now complete and ready to be hung up for Halloween. You can tape a string to the top of the bat and attach it to a wall, ceiling or door to create a spooky decoration.
