Printable Rhyming WorksheetThis worksheet is perfect for little learners who are just starting to explore the world of rhyme. With cute, colorful illustrations and simple instructions, it’s sure to capture their attention and make learning fun!

One of the best things about this worksheet is that it can be used in a variety of ways. Depending on your child’s skill level and learning style, you could use it in a one-on-one tutoring session, as part of a small group activity, or as an independent work task.

How to use this worksheet

Before you begin, make sure your child understands what rhyming means. You could start with a simple definition, like “when words sound the same at the end.” Then, give them a few examples, like “cat” and “hat” or “fox” and “box.”

Once your child understands the concept of rhyming, it’s time to tackle the worksheet! Here are some possible ways to use it:

1. Cut and paste

Print out the worksheet and have your child use scissors to cut out the pictures at the bottom. Then, they can paste each picture onto the corresponding word at the top of the page. For example, they could paste the “bee” picture next to the word “tree.”

2. Circle and match

Instead of cutting and pasting, your child could use a highlighter or crayon to circle each picture at the bottom of the page. Then, they can draw a line to connect each circled picture to the matching word at the top of the page. For example, they could draw a line from the circled “bee” to the word “tree.”

3. Memory game

If your child is up for a challenge, try turning this worksheet into a memory game! Print out two copies of the page and cut out just the pictures at the bottom. Then, shuffle the pictures and lay them face down on a table. Your child can take turns flipping over two pictures at a time and trying to find a match.
