You know I’m always on the lookout for fun stuff to do with the kiddos, and I just stumbled upon something that I think y’all might really enjoy. Have y’all ever heard of Flat Stanley?
What is Flat Stanley?
Ok, so for those of you who don’t know, Flat Stanley is this cute little guy who becomes your ambassador as he travels the world. You start by printing out a template of Flat Stanley, coloring him in however you’d like, and cutting him out.
Once you’ve got your Flat Stanley, take a picture of him wherever you are, whether it’s at home or on vacation, and then send him off to someone else. They take a picture of him wherever they are, and then send him on to someone else. And so on and so on.
How to Get Started
To get started with Flat Stanley, all you need to do is print out a template of him. There are lots of different templates out there, so I’m just gonna share a few with y’all.
Template 1:
This is one of the most popular templates out there. He’s cute, he’s simple, and you can color him in however you’d like.
Template 2:
This is a fun template because it comes with a little suitcase that you can color in and decorate however you’d like. You can even draw pictures of all the fun places that Flat Stanley is going to visit!
Examples of Flat Stanley Adventures
Now, I know what y’all are probably thinking - this sounds like a lot of fun, but what do you actually do with all of these pictures of Flat Stanley? Well, you can do lots of things!
Some people like to create a scrapbook of all of Flat Stanley’s adventures. This is a great way to keep track of where he’s been and who he’s met.
Other people like to create a map of all the places that Flat Stanley has been. This is a fun way to see how far he’s traveled and where he’s been in the world.
And some people just like to share the pictures on social media so that all of their friends and family can see them. This is a great way to keep in touch with loved ones who live far away.
