Elf On The Shelf Welcome Letter Free Printable

Oh my goodness, my family and I are so excited for the holidays! One of our favorite traditions is the Elf on the Shelf. We love coming up with creative ways to position our elf each day, and the kids always have a blast trying to find him.

Introducing our Elf

Our Elf on the ShelfWe always start the month off by introducing our elf. I found this adorable “Welcome Back” letter on Crystal & Co. I printed it out and left it for the kids to find. They were thrilled to see that our elf had returned for the season.

Elf Report Cards

Elf Report CardThis year, we decided to implement elf report cards. We found these cute printables from The Suburban Mom that allowed us to rate the kids on their behavior each day. It was a fun way to encourage good behavior and make things a little more exciting for the kids.

Elf Twister

Elf TwisterWe love coming up with creative ways to pose our elf, and this Elf Twister idea from The SITS Girls was so much fun. We printed out the game mat and placed our elf on the board in some wacky positions. The kids loved it and couldn’t stop giggling.

Elf Door Decorating

Elf Door DecoratingWe decided to give our elf his own door this year. We found some fun printables for Elf Door Signs from Craftaholics Anonymous and let the kids decorate the door. They had a blast giving our elf his own little entrance.

Elf Hot Cocoa Stand

Elf Hot Cocoa StandWe set up a little hot cocoa stand for our elf using this printable from Clean and Scentsible. It was a fun way to get the kids excited about making their own hot cocoa and brought a little extra magic to the holiday season.

Elf Photo BoothThis Elf Photo Booth idea from The SITS Girls was too fun to pass up. We gathered up some props and made a little backdrop for our elf. The kids had a blast taking silly pictures with our little guy.

Elf Suitcase

Elf SuitcaseWe loved this Elf Suitcase decoration idea from Eats Amazing. We found a small suitcase at a thrift store and let the kids decorate it with stickers and markers. Our elf then posed with the suitcase, ready to embark on his next adventure.

Elf Zipline

Elf ZiplineThis Elf Zipline idea from View from the Fridge was so much fun. We attached some string to our elf and zipped him down a line between two chairs. The kids thought it was hilarious and begged to do it again and again.

Elf Snowball Fight

We had so much fun with our elf this year and can’t wait to start planning next year’s adventures. The Elf on the Shelf is truly a magical part of the holiday season, and we’re grateful to have him as a part of our family’s traditions.
