This holiday season, Nenagh library is getting into the festive spirit with the return of everyone’s favorite mischievous elf - the Elf on the Shelf!
The Elf on the Shelf Tradition
For those who are not familiar with the Elf on the Shelf tradition, the concept is simple: a scout elf is sent from the North Pole to help Santa Claus manage his naughty and nice list. The elf watches over the children in the house and reports back to Santa each night.
Elf on the Shelf at Nenagh Library
This year, Nenagh library is excited to welcome back their very own elf. The library staff have made sure that the elf – whose name is Sparkle – has plenty of fun activities to keep her entertained.
Every day, Sparkle hides in different locations around the library. Children who are visiting the library can find her and enter their name into a draw for an exciting prize.
The library staff have also set up a special postal service to the North Pole, so children can write letters to Santa and receive a reply from him or one of his trusted elves.
Join in the Fun!
If you’re in the Nenagh area this holiday season, be sure to stop by the library and join in the fun with Sparkle the Elf. The library staff are always happy to welcome visitors and help them find the perfect book to curl up with on a cold winter day.
We hope to see you there!
