I have been reflecting on the special relationship I share with my grandmother lately, and it’s got me feeling all sentimental. As children, our grandmothers are some of the most important people in our lives - they shower us with love, regale us with stories, and spoil us with treats. As we grow up, these memories become treasured keepsakes, as we continue to celebrate the irreplaceable role that our grandmothers hold in our lives.
Discovering these delightful printables
As I was surfing the web recently, I chanced upon some delightful printables that caught my eye. Curious, I clicked through and found a treasure trove of “All About My Grandma” printables that had me grinning ear to ear.
Each of the printables shared a similar theme - they highlighted the close relationship between a grandchild and their grandmother, asking them to fill in the blanks with details about the special woman in their life.
“I Love My Grandma Because” printable
The first printable I came across was simple, sweet, and a great starting point for anyone looking to share their love and appreciation for their grandma. Titled “I Love My Grandma Because”, it’s a blank worksheet that invites grandkids to fill in the blanks to create a unique and personal tribute to the wonderful qualities of their grandmother.
As I looked at the printable, I was flooded with memories of my own grandmother, and I couldn’t wait to fill in the worksheet with my own personal details.
“All About My Grandma” fill-in-the-blank printable
The second printable I discovered was an “All About My Grandma” fill-in-the-blank worksheet. This printable was a great way to get children to reflect on their grandmother’s hobbies, interests, and favourite things. The printables include space to add information on things like the name of their grandparent, what their grandma loves to do, what she loves to eat, and what makes her special.
As I filled in the worksheet, I could picture the smile on my grandmother’s face as she read through the finished copy. It was a perfect way to lean into the nostalgia of my childhood, while also reveling in the relationship that my grandmother and I share today.
Free “All About My Grandma” printable interview
The third printable that caught my eye was a free “All About My Grandma” printable interview. This worksheet provided a more structured and complete list of questions to probe deeper into the grandchild-grandmother relationship.
The printable interview included thirteen thought-provoking questions such as “What does your grandma like to do?”, “What is your favourite memory with your grandma?”, and “What makes your grandma special?”. The worksheet concluded with a blank section to draw and colour a picture of Grandmom and her grandchild, giving the interview an even more personal touch.
“All about my grandma” coloring sheet printable
The fourth printable, “All about my grandma coloring sheet” was a delightfully creative twist on the “All about my grandma” theme. The worksheet combined a colouring activity with prompts that encouraged children to reflect on their granny and the things that make them so unique.
The worksheet included prompts for children to fill in the blanks with their grandmother’s name, what she likes to do (which can be illustrated in the colouring section), and what makes their grandmother special.
Mother’s Day questionnaire printable
The fifth printable was a Mother’s Day questionnaire that you could print out and give to your child to fill out. While this was not solely a “grandmother” themed printable, it still had a lovely message and could be modified to delve more into the special bond grandparents share with their grandchildren.
This questionnaire had prompts like “My mom is the best at…” and “I love when my mom…” that were simple and easy to fill out. In addition, the printable also had space for kids to write in a special message or doodle something cute, making it a wonderful keepsake that any parent would treasure.

The sixth (and last!) printable that caught my attention was an “All About My Grandma” free printable. This printable followed the same fill-in-the-blank format as the others, but it also had some additional prompts that were more in line with the grandchild-grandmother relationship.
The prompt “When I think about my grandma, I think…” was a great way to encourage children to reflect on the ways their grandmother makes them feel. Another wonderful prompt was “I love to…” which asked children to fill in what they loved to do with their grandmother, which could be anything from baking cookies to taking a walk in the park.

Reflecting on these delightful printables and the memories they have brought up has been a heartwarming experience. Sharing these printables with my own children as well as my grandmother would be a perfect way to show them how much we all appreciate and cherish the bond that we have built.
