Oh wow, have you heard of this crazy challenge called 1000 Hours Outside? Apparently, people are trying to spend 1000 hours outside in a year! That’s like, a lot of time. But hey, at least they’re getting some fresh air and vitamin D, right?

So apparently, this challenge started as a way to get kids to spend more time outside and less time in front of screens. But now, it’s become a whole thing! There are trackers and apps and printable charts…it’s like people are really serious about this.

I mean, I can see why people would want to do it. Being outside is nice! There’s so much to see and explore, especially if you live in a place with lots of nature around. And hey, if it means we’re all getting a little more exercise and fresh air, that’s definitely a good thing.

But let’s be real…1000 hours is a LOT of time. Like, that’s 41 full days outside. I’m not sure I could even manage that! And what about the winter? Do those hours count too? Because I can tell you right now, I’m not going outside for an hour every day in the middle of a snowstorm.
